# Armadillo - Impermanent Loss protection

[Armadillo](https://armadillo.is) is an Impermanent Loss Protection product from the [CVI](https://cvi.finance/) team at COTI that allows Liquidity Providers in the DeFi ecosystem to protect themselves against Impermanent Loss while supplying Liquidity in Automated market makers (*AMMs*). 

Armadillo is a **decentralized**, **multi-chain**, **non-custodian** **and** **on-chain** product unique in its nature. It currently runs on *Polygon,* a Layer 2 scaling solution for the Ethereum blockchain.

It currently offers buying Impermanent Loss protections for periods of 14, 30 and 60 days.

At the end of the protection period, a payout will be made to your originating wallet address automatically via Chainlink Keepers for the incurred Impermanent Loss of the protected pair.
